This is a speculative project loosely inspired by an article I read about unexpected places dinosaur bones have been found around the world. I used this idea to create these illustrations, one depicting a dinosaur skeleton hidden in the rubbish in a city, and another with the skeleton lying amongst all the coral in a reef.

As with a lot of my work, I tried to make these illustrations as detailed as I could, hiding little objects and references to dinosaurs within the scene, with the intention that every time the viewer looks, they will notice something new.
