Anna Louise Oliver is a freelance illustrator and artist, based sort of in the middle of nowhere in the south-west of the UK. She graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2023 with a BA in Illustration.

She has been drawing since she was born and has been posting it online since she first had internet access. This does mean there’s always a small possibility of stumbling across some fanart of Percy Jackson she drew when she was twelve on Pinterest. Anna isn’t sure how she feels about this.

Anna’s process for illustration involves sketching many ideas out in her sketchbook, before creating the final refined artwork in Procreate on her iPad. She’s a big fan of incorporating hand-drawn typography, neon colours, and high levels of detail into her work.

Anna’s inspiration often comes from pop-culture, primarily movies and books, as well as her love of animals and the environment. She also always likes to add just a bit of silliness into her art when she can, because silliness is important.

Anna likes dogs, horror movies, and the Procreate 6B pencil. She dislikes generative AI and writing about herself in third person.
